After a weeknight jam session with some old friends, our guitarist shot out and e-mail to say "Great jam last night". Our drummer responded "It was alright, 'till Larry started smokin' ". My response was the lyric to this song. My old friends still call me Larry and when you are bassist and vocalist of the group, don't smoke out during the break. Words forgotten, lesson learned.

Larry Started Smokin'
Lyrics
He had a great home,
a fast car,
a private booth at all the bars
a hot wife
a penthouse
with girls n drugs an bubbly wine
a huge stack
a thoroughbred
a ninety-two inch tv set
his grill iced
loaded dice
A pack of lies and no regrets
You could say he lived a kings life
You could say he had his shit tight
You know every thing was alright......
Till Larry started smokin' (smokin)
Till Larry started smokin' (smokin)
Now everybody's jokin'
Cause Larry started smokin'
He had his bills paid
hot maids
all his parties were insane
the cash flow
the name drop
all the hash and all the blow
the stock tips
custom shoes
played guitar and sang the blues
a mink coat
a huge boat
all the songs the beatles wrote
You could say he lived a kings life
You could say he had his shit tight
You know every thing was alright......
Till Larry started smokin' (smokin)
Till Larry started smokin' (smokin)
Now everybody's jokin'
Cause Larry started smokin'
